Massey Ranch is a 250 cow desert ranch located near Wickett, Texas on Interstate 20, about 35 miles west of Odessa, Texas. The Stephenville Ranch is two miles south of stephenville on Hwy. 67 to Glen Rose. The Hereford herd consists of about 30 cows. The rest of the cattle are commercial crossbred cows. Both Hereford and Angus bulls are used on the commercial herd. The ranch has been in the Massey's family since 1917 and was originally established by pioneer ranchman G. W. O'Brien. The Massey family has been in Hereford business since establishment of the ranch and the registered Hereford business since 1963. Juniors have shown Massey Hereford Ranch heifers and steers successfully throughout the state and nation. A fith generation is now actively involved at the ranch. Massey Ranch successfully exhibits a show string at many open shows. BCow families include Boyd Rothers Fasination Z86 lines, Moler and Online daughters, Don Moler's 901 cow, Coyote Ridge's Eclipse, Kelly, Amber, and Julianne lines, Durango daughters, and decendants of Tucker's Harley cow.
